The magic of my neighborhood

As a new student at the U of MD College Park in the 70's, I asked directions to the library from a chemistry professor, who gave me a long poetic travelogue about the beauties of the campus, leaving me a little dubious about his sanity.

My neighborhood in Takoma Park is special in many ways, and I love it. So now I understand the professor's appreciation as something more than denial. I am only beginning to recognize the spectacular daily beauty of the place I live.

Your home page showing the upcoming concerts at Takoma Park look great, and congratulations to Ulf Grahn and Charley Gerard, whose music will be featured. It's fun to see the photos of the musicians and composers in the ads, and thanks for the links Charley's new music.
